NLP & Corporate Training
Neuro-Linguistic Programming training is becoming increasingly popular. The interest in and attendance at Australian trainings has grown massively in the past few years. It’s important to know that not all NLP Trainings are the same and it’s worth investing some time in investigating them fully.
NLP is fast becoming recognised for its brilliance as an accelerated change method.
TalkingMinds are one of a few providers who offer small, full curricula and skills based NLP based Practitioner and Master Practitioner Training. So what does that mean exactly?
There are unfortunately a number of misunderstandings about what training in NLP allows/permits you to do once you have completed a course.
TalkingMinds Principal NLP Trainer, Trudy Wilson has expressed concern about the way in which NLP Training is promoted. NLP Training alone is not sufficient for the clinical (therapeutic) practice of NLP. Would you believe that some NLP Practitioners start seeing clients after only 7 days of training, usually having no practical experience, except perhaps unsuspecting family or friends who have offered to be guinea pigs? This is extremely unethical and no NLP Training on its own is adequate for clinical practice. It is almost always necessary to undertake further training (either a behavioural science (psychology), counselling or social work degree or diploma) and imperative to receive clinical supervision and practical experience prior to seeing clients.
Be very aware of NLP Practitioners who promise the world, charge exorbitant fees for consultation and training and then fail to deliver.
At TalkingMinds we do not endorse the clinical practice and clinical application of NLP unless the participant has previous training and accreditation in counselling, psychology, social work or some other recognised psychotherapy training.
In some cases, participants choose to study NLP for their own personal development and this is fine. In these cases, no certifications as such are provided.
Our trainings are:
- Thorough. We include as much information as possible to ensure you have a good understanding of the techniques and methodology. Some trainers deliberately leave material out so you have to do the ‘next course’ and you are left feeling inadequate and unskilled.
- Our Trainer Trudy Wilson is fully accredited and qualified and one of a few trainers who possess a combination of mainstream counselling, behavioural science and NLP based skills. She has 16 years experience, 2 degrees and thousands of hours of real world, clinical experience.
- Fun, informative and highly applicable. You will be able to apply skills from Day 1 to your work and personal life.
- Affordable. We keep our prices at or below the market price and give you the option of paying the course off (interest free).
- Empowering. It’s all about YOU and what you want to achieve from the training. If Practitioner level training is all you want to do then that’s completely fine and there is no pressure to do other courses.
- Kept small (around 20 students or less) to ensure you get the most from the training.
